Case Study 1 – Landscaping, tree surgery, maintenance and arboriculture services

A long established and successful family run business wishing initially to develop and improve its ISO 9001 quality management system as part of their transition to upgrade their ISO 9001 certification. Working with the Company Secretary and management team, a GAP analysis of the management system was conducted to establish the required changes to the current system and a transition implementation plan was agreed. Processes were reviewed, developed and changes to the system implemented. Training of company staff was provided, an updated programme of internal audits was introduced to meet the new requirements and internal audits conducted. The company’s ISO 9001 quality management system transition upgrade was successfully assessed by the UKAS accredited certification body NQA.

Case Study 2 – Electronic systems design and consultancy

Selected by the Directors to provide a review of the quality management system status in relation to ISO 9001 compliance requirements and identify system improvement objectives. A review of the management system was completed, with a report delivered to the Directors providing review results including proposed improvement objectives and actions. Subsequently, the Directors requested that Synergix Solutions provide consultancy support to progress these system improvement objectives and initially assist with maintenance of the quality management system.

Case Study 3 – Motion control solutions

This design and manufacturing company required help to overhaul its current quality management system with improved document management and simplified systems. In addition due to the company’s recent move to a new location internal auditing had not been fully maintained and auditor assistance was required to bring internal audits up-to-date prior to their ISO 9001 certification body re-certification audit.  A full review of the quality management system was undertaken including the status of internal audits, following the review a recovery plan was agreed with the client and implemented.  The company’s quality management system was successfully assessed against ISO 9001 by the UKAS accredited certification body BVQI.

Case Study 4 – Lift industry control panels

A design and manufacturing company requiring help with maintenance of its ISO 9001 quality management system in preparation for its forthcoming certification body surveillance audit.  A recovery plan was proposed and implemented with interim consultancy and support services provided to the client including; internal auditing, document development and management, management reviews and improvement objectives. Services also included support at certification body surveillance audits and subsequent ISO 9001 re-certification by the UKAS certification body NQA, all successfully completed.

Case Study 5 – Landscaping and grounds maintenance services

The client invited us to help them to achieve ISO 14001 environmental management system UKAS certification. The Company initially required management consultancy assistance, guidance and facilitator support, there was a limited timescale in which the company needed to achieve certification and so our first objectives were to conduct a GAP analysis and put together a detailed project implementation plan covering all the activities and tasks necessary to be achieved within the planned timescale. The company’s environmental management system was successfully assessed “on-time” against ISO 14001 by the UKAS accredited certification body NQA.

Case Study 6 – Power maintenance services

Having acquired another company which operated within the Rail industry, the executive management needed to integrate the management systems of both companies.  Working closely with the two companies’ management teams, the initial brief for integration of the management systems was achieved which included health and safety, environmental and the quality management system. We were then invited to assist with further systems integration as part of the company’s objective to implement and achieve OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety management system certification which was successfully assessed by the UKAS accredited certification body Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

Case Study 7 – Utilities power engineering

The management wished to develop and implement improved levels of certification to the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS), the scheme is certified through Lloyds Register. Synergix Solutions was appointment to develop the NERS management system and integrate the NERS system and requirements into the company’s existing ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems, this involved working closely with management and staff at all levels within the company. The integration of the management systems was completed to a tight timescale and the company successfully achieved the enhanced NERS certification requirements at the Lloyds Register assessment audit.

Case Study 8 – Food and beverages flow systems and controls

A subsidiary of an international Company involved in major projects, the company required help with maintenance of its ISO 9001 quality management system in preparation initially for its forthcoming certification body surveillance audit, which was successfully completed. The client also required ongoing consultancy and support services including; ISO 9001 compliance monitoring, management reviews, internal auditing of processes and projects, and support during surveillance audits by their UKAS certification body BSI.

Case Study 9 – Level measurement and environmental control products and systems

A design and manufacturing company with whom we have worked with for some years in maintaining their quality management system and supporting them through successful ISO 9001 surveillance and re-certification audits by their UKAS certification body SGS. The company is also a manufacturer of ATEX approved products for hazardous atmospheres, therefore in addition to ISO 9001 compliance the company is required to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011, with successful results at surveillance audits conducted by SGS Baseefa. Provided consultancy support to assist them with the transition process to the new ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems standard.
